Long-term funding options

  • charge organisations to host campaigns on platform (briefly mentioned in Wellcome application - feedback said could have had more information on long-term sustainability)
  • seek small amounts of funding from academic unions, universities etc.
  • charge a fee to users/organisations who want more detailed information on pledge data, e.g. country of pledge origin, career level
  • charge a platform fee for campaigns that include a crowdfunding component
  • charge users monthly fee
  • merchandise (badges/stickers/reusable cups) could sell to start off then use that to pay back cost of printing to them have items for giveaways at workshops. Propose this to potential founders = advert opportunity if they gold star support we stick their logo on our stickers…
